Most programs count completions and check boxes. We track the arc of human lives — because that's what your investment is actually funding. Our comprehensive data framework follows residents from intake through two full years post-discharge.
Our measurement philosophy was born from a simple conviction: funders deserve to see exactly what their investment achieved. Not participation rates. Not attendance logs. Real outcomes for real people — housing retained, families intact, jobs held, sobriety sustained, lives rebuilt.
The industry standard for measuring recovery is 30–90 days. We've built a three-year data window because that's what it takes to distinguish genuine transformation from temporary stabilization. When you partner with Access Foundation, you're investing in outcomes that will still be visible two years from now.
We publish comprehensive impact reports and welcome site visits, data reviews, and audit requests. Transparency isn't a compliance obligation for us — it's a core value that reflects how seriously we take your trust.
Measured at discharge, 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years post-program
30-day, 90-day, and long-term employment with income progression
Relapse tracking including returns, sustained sobriety, and recovery capital progression
Mental health, medical care, medication adherence
Recidivism, probation/parole completion, re-arrest rates
Family reunification outcomes, social network development, community integration
Income growth, savings, debt reduction, benefits utilization
The recovery sector has a measurement problem. Programs count what’s easy to count — completion rates, 30-day sobriety, bed occupancy. Access Foundation was built on the conviction that this approach fails funders, fails communities, and ultimately fails the people in recovery.
Consider what traditional programs measure versus what Access Foundation tracks:
Instead of “Are you still clean after 30 days?” we ask: Is this person employed, housed, and connected to a support network that will sustain them? Have they rebuilt reciprocal relationships — not just support-receiving ones? Are they moving from “I’m an addict in recovery” toward “I’m a person who happens to be in recovery”?
Research demonstrates that individuals who rebuild diverse social networks — not just recovery-focused support groups — are five times more likely to report life satisfaction two years post-treatment. We track this. Most programs don’t.
Our 314-day average residency exists because the data tells us it takes that long for meaningful identity reconstruction to occur. Brief interventions address the crisis. We address the cause.

Resident Before Access Foundation
The resident who spoke these words had successfully completed a traditional 90-day program. By every standard metric, they were a success story. Access Foundation's model is built to produce the kind of change that doesn't show up in a 90-day report — but does show up in a life still intact two years later.
Access Foundation’s programs generate documented outcomes across multiple priority funding areas:
Recidivism reduction, reentry services, justice-involved housing
Recovery support, relapse prevention, medication-assisted treatment access,long-term sobriety
Transitional housing, homelessness prevention, housing-first programming
Family reunification, foster care prevention, trauma-informed parenting support
Employment training, financial literacy, job placement and retention, economic mobility
Healthcare access, mental health, disease prevention, overdose prevention
Community integration, network development, civic participation, identity reconstruction
